Biography

Growing up around the legends of powerboat racing it was only natural for Tammy to exhibit a drive and commitment for excellence that racers need to excel in this sport. Tammy Wolf-Jakob started racing powerboats at age 18 and after 15 years of experience, there were no doubts that she is just as fast and tough as any guy who would care to pit against her.

Tammy grew up in Milton, Ontario, Canada and now lives in Clifton, Illinois.  She is happily married to Formula 2 powerboat driver Mark Jakob.  Tammy has an impressive racing resume; she has raced in numerous different classes from Formula-V, Mod EP, SST 90, and now Formula 3 powerboats.

In 2005, Tammy became one of only a few race drivers in the series to become an international competitor by racing in both the Canadian and the United States series.  In 2005, her team was honored to win the Canadian Cup.

In 2007, Tammy unveiled her brand new Formula 3 Pugh powerboat with a new look.  Tammy’s success comes through a combination of talent, hard work and the support of her team.

Tammy works as a Dental Hygienist and is honored to promote the sport of powerboat racing by making public appearances.  She is constantly being interview and signing autographs for fans.  Despite her taxing schedule, Tammy always feels privileged to be a race boat driver.
